A true master can only impart wisdom to students who come with an open heart and an empty mind, ready to receive. When students acknowledge that they don’t know and let go of their ego and preconceived notions, they create space for learning. The "empty cup" symbolizes humility, surrender, and receptiveness, a state where knowledge can flow freely from the master to the student.
Surrender to the master doesn’t mean blind submission but signifies trust, respect, and readiness to embrace growth. The more a student empties their mind of pride and assumptions, the more room there is for wisdom, awareness, and transformation.
The path of learning begins with unlearning, and true understanding starts when the ego steps aside. This is the key to unlocking deeper insights and spiritual evolution.
These are the must have qualities of a spiritual student
